Matacanes Expedition

This excursion begins in the communal farmlands known as Potrero Redondo, located in the Santiago mountain range of the southern part of Nuevo León. It lasts about nine hours, during which time you live an unforgettable experience. You will rappel two descents of between 20 and 25 meters, in addition to seeing subterranean rivers, natural stone toboggans, 20 waterfalls, cascades and much more.

What you should know:
You will need professional safety equipment: a harness, a figure eight chest harness, a carabiner clip, a helmet, a lifesaver vest and a neoprene suit (optional).
Professional personnel certified by the State of Nuevo León (Civilian Protection, Tourism Operative and the Secretariat of Tourism) will serve as your guides.
You need to have medical and rescue insurance.
The group must have at least seven people
You must have an average physical condition, not be overweight and not suffer from ailments such as diabetes, fear of heights or any joint problems (knees, ankles, hip etc.)
